Samantha is the BEST! I was not planning to hire a doula for my second pregnancy, because I was planning to get an epidural and didn’t think having a doula would be very beneficial if I was not going to have a natural birth. I was WRONG. With my first, I had an emergency C-section and never went into labor so I didn’t really know what to expect. Having Samantha’s support while I got closer to my due date was so helpful, and her birth class taught my husband and I a ton even though we had taken a different birth class before having our first. She was able to help me navigate the very difficult last few weeks of pregnancy and prepare for having a newborn. She helped me figure out what I wanted the birth process to look like, and supported me in my decisions. When the day came, she brought many comfort items to the hospital, stayed calm, and worked closely with the nurse to recommend different positions for me to be in (even with my epidural!) to help encourage baby to make his way out on his own and avoid another C section. I am convinced that without her I could not have had a VBAC. I tell all of my friends about her the second they find out they are pregnant. She is truly the best there is!

Sam was absolutely amazing and is one of the biggest reasons I was able to follow through with my plan to have a natural, unmedicated birth. Her advice and calming presence were exactly what I needed to get through labor. I would recommend Sam to anyone and honestly don’t think I would have been able to do it without her. I absolutely will be having her help again if I ever have another baby!

I discovered Samantha through instagram when I was trying to get pregnant and quickly started listening to their podcast. As soon as I knew I was pregnant (first time mom) I reach out to set up an interview. They had already taught me so much about pregnancy and birth through the podcast and I could tell she was very knowledgeable and experienced before even meeting her. The interview solidified for me that she was a great fit. I did interview other birth doulas too for perspective but Samantha was right for me. I booked her in July 2023 for my February 2024 birth and they were already filling up – do not wait to reach out and interview!! She helped me make informed decisions about my birth plan and even a plan B plan if we needed to transfer to the hospital – thankfully we didn’t end up needing it! Her energy in the space was perfect for what I needed. She was calm and gently encouraging. She helped with counter pressure during contractions and made sure I rested and hydrated between contractions. She offered suggestions that I always said yes to and they continuously helped with labor progression. As a first time mom I’d say having a birth team who you completely trust and who you will let guide you is so so important! I highly recommended her and would use her again for my next birth.

I didn’t know much about Doulas before this experience. I cannot recommend Samantha enough. Samantha came to the hospital and was incredibly supportive and helpful to my wife, and me. Thank you. We are so grateful.

Where do we start?!? Samantha is absolutely amazing and was with us every step of the way. You never realize when you’re going to need the experience she has until you do…which is exactly what happened when I found myself at 42 weeks and only 1 cm dilated and facing a c section that was not planned. However, one of the most helpful things we found was the “hotline” service she provides where my husband and I were able to text them anytime we had a question. Should we encapsulate my placenta, ask the hotline! Looking for more info on belly binding, ask the hotline! Should we store babies cord blood, ask the hotline! It saved us so much time not having to google and research the millions of questions we had with our first kiddo. My husband said that people who are called to this kind of work are like angels that walk amongst us…I can’t agree more!

“I just gave birth to my third and final baby! I had contacted a doula Samantha Kelly with Beautifully Made Doula Care through a recommendation on this page for support during my pregnancy/ labor and delivery! I have never had a doula with my prior two pregnancies. I sought out a doula because I’m someone who really wants a female/ maternal support person in addition to having my husband there for birth and my mom was not able to attend this birth! I’m so glad I was connected to Samantha. She was extremely professional, personal and helpful with my delivery and really changed my experience during labor for the positive!

My baby was face up during labor so even though I had the epidural, I started experiencing extreme pain with each contraction in my back/hips because of the pressure on my spine from the baby’s position. The contractions were so close together and I was miserable. Samantha worked with me continually helping me reposition in positions to encourage the baby to turn and we were able to get the baby to turn enough to were my pain significantly decreased and he came out face down!! While I was experiencing the painful contractions in my back initially, she knew how to apply pressure to areas to give me so much relief! I’m so thankful for her help! She stayed connected with me my whole pregnancy and we came up with a birth plan together to support me best. She is a very kind soul. I would definitely use her again if we were having another.

Samantha was the best and everything I needed out of a doula. Throughout the process she was insightful, comforting and detailed about every step. She listened to my concerns and ultimately put my mind at ease through any worries. On the day she walked in prepared, opened up a bag full of items to make my journey more comfortable and then stood by my side the entire time. Her presence and guidance in the hospital room led to a positive birth story that I happily look back on often. I truly believe that her comforting measures led to more time without interventions and mindfulness to work through the pain. Highly recommend her and I’m so glad she was by our side on that day.

We recently delivered our second child with the support of Samantha Kelly. Samantha served as our doula with the delivery of my first child and she was one of the first people we contacted when we learned we were pregnant again. I cannot imagine going through a pregnancy, delivery and postpartum without the incredible support and experience of Samantha. The hotline service that she offers is a huge resource for both me and my husband and she was always available to check in before/after appointments and helped to navigate any complications that arose. She was actively involved in helping me prepare for the birth that I wanted and Samantha seemed to intuitively know exactly what I wanted during birth and made sure it happened. If not for her knowledge of how to navigate the hospital system, I truly think the midwife wouldn’t have made it in time to deliver our baby so we are even more grateful for Sam. She also helped me navigate postpartum, everything from accessing pelvic floor therapy to finding and screening a safe caretaker for our child when I needed to return to work. Sam is amazing, you should definitely hire her, I am confident that you’ll feel the benefits of her experience and support.

Samantha was such a blessing for me and my husband, it’s hard to put it into words! It was a financial commitment that we were a bit anxious about, but their support, not just during labor and delivery but throughout my whole pregnancy, was a total game changer.
I met Sam early in pregnancy terrified to give birth and overwhelmed by the healthcare system. She gave me support and guidance as I stumbled through switching providers and helped me prepare for doctor’s appointments so I felt equipped to advocate for myself.
When I was diagnosed with cholestasis at 36 weeks and had to be induced at 38, I felt prepared and confident in myself and my body, despite my birth plan already being thrown off course, which I credit to Sam’s advice and encouragement.
